ESI Case Studies: Real Performance Results

Our clients partner with ESI to guide them as they improve organizational performance and achieve such strategic goals as improved competitive positioning, greater customer satisfaction, improved financial performance and increased employee retention.

Whether you're implementing a world class global project management program like Tetra Pak; creating a center of excellence like Piedmont Natural Gas; or launching an initiative to increase competitiveness through improved project management like GlaxoSmithKline, we invite you to see how our clients have achieved their goals with the help of ESI by reading some of our case studies.

Automatic Data Processing
In 2005, ADP’s NAS PMO launched an advanced learning program to its implementation team with a focus on project management fundamentals. This initial effort proved so successful that in 2006 ADP asked learning partner, ESI International, to assess their broader, existing project management capabilities and chart the long-term course to meet their goals. ESI tailored the assessment to explore specific issues identified by ADP.

ASML
In 2005 ASML decided to assess its project capabilities. The assessment showed that while there was no agreed ASML project management methodology, many engineers applied a range of project management skills and tools to gather requirements, plan and track their projects.  In 2006, ASML selected ESI International to help drive and support their project management goals.

Brasil Telecom
Like many telecommunications companies around the world, Brasil Telecom faced high-risk project and IT challenges. Company executives knew that if they were going to compete in this newly deregulated, highly competitive industry, it was time to change.

Delta Technology
Delta Technology required a consistent methodology to more successfully gather and clearly document requirements. ESI International and Delta Technology tailored a learning program that created a baseline for success and ensured consistency for the future.

GlaxoSmithKline
GlaxoSmithKline is a pharmaceutical company that conducts many large-scale medicine discovery and development projects that can run for more than a decade and consume a vast amount of the company’s resources. In 2006, when GSK launched its iPlan initiative to integrate its project and portfolio planning, the company turned to ESI International to deliver performance improvement learning in project management.

Henkels & McCoy
Henkels & McCoy needed help to increase efficiency internally and develop seamless communication with their many large general contracting partners. With ESI International's eLearning, Henkels & McCoy achieved a standardized, global project management methodology throughout the organization.

HP Services
After recognizing a need for a performance improvement plan for their project managers, HP Services partnered with ESI for a project management learning program to reduce the number of troubled projects, increase operating margins and provide a more flexible project workforce. Since partnering with ESI in 1996, HP Services has recognized not only strengthened project management skills but also increased business competencies.

Piedmont Natural Gas
Piedmont Natural Gas implemented a Project Management Center of Excellence (CoE) with the vision of leading the company in transforming business strategy into business results. They chose ESI as their learning partner to build a results-oriented learning program.

Siemens
Siemens' switch from selling hardware to selling integrated solutions resulted in complex installation projects and the need for new project management approaches. Siemens selected ESI International to help it tackle this new business challenge.

Tetra Pak
Believing that effective project management underpins leadership, quality and customer understanding, Tetra Pak partnered with ESI International to build and deliver a globally consistent, instructor led, project management learning and development program.  Tetra Pak and ESI have been working together on project management learning programs since 2001.
